First Aid Training Programmes launched on 2nd February 2013, First Aid Training Centre launched in IRCS TNB on 10th July 2013. From June to upto date 32 First Aid Trainings imparted for Senior Professionals, Juniors and Senior Students in Factories, Colleges and Schools. Totally 1,981 participants were trained and certified as detailed below:-
CFMR Trainings Conducted in Four Districts around 200 Volunteers Trained in Certified First Medical Responders Training Programme in Chennai, Vellore , The Nilgiris and Thanjavur District. One day Orientation Programme on First Aid and Disaster Management was conducted during Oct 2022 and May 2023 with 6526 YRC volunteers were benefited throughout Tamil Nadu.
FIRST AID TRAINING has been imparting to all classes of people and students (Male, Female and Students) with the aim of providing maximum number of FIRST AIDER’s availability throughout the State of Tamil Nadu whose services can be availed by the local administration during emergencies.
From 11.12.2023 to 13.12.2023 and from 14.12.2023 to 16.12.2023, two batches of First Aid training programs were conducted for Victus Dyeings Garment Division Unit-1, 2 & 3 in Palampatti, Udumalpet, Tirupur District. A total of 60 members were trained, with 30 members in each batch. The training duration was from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On the first day, Mr. Tamilarasu, HR Manager, inaugurated the program. On the third day, Dr. Megala, MS, DGO, examined the participants.
On 20.01.2024, a First Aid awareness training program was conducted for BSc Nursing students of Dr. Jeyasekaran College of Nursing, Nagercoil. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Priya, Principal. A total of 100 students participated and were trained from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

During the Month of March 2023, based on the request received from Nine IRCS-District Branches and One IRCS – Sub District Branch, we have dispatched 300 Nos. Hygiene Kits to each districts and 204 Hygiene Kits were distributed to Arasu sevaillam (Home) Tambaram under the Chairmanship of Dr. Justice M. Jaichandren, Ad-hoc Committee, IRCS – TNB.
From 26.12.2023 to 28.12.2023, a first aid training program was conducted for Ayana Solar Power Company Pvt Ltd, located at Kayathar, Tuticorin District. The program was organized by the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Tuticorin District Branch. A total of 25 members participated in the practical and theoretical training program, which took place from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.
On the third day, Dr. Vaseekaran, MBBS, and Chairman of IRCS Tuticorin District Branch, along with Dr. Govindhasamy, Joint Secretary of IRCS Tuticorin District Branch, visited the session. They examined the participants and conducted a viva session.
First Aid Training Program was organized by IRCS Tirupur District Branch for Staff Members of Poppies Knit Wear Pvt Ltd Unit VI in Tirupur from 05.01.2023 to 07.01.2023 & 09.01.2023 to 11.01.2023. Per batch, 30 members and Training duration was 6 hours per day for three days. On 23.01.2023, One Day Disaster Management program was conducted for YRC unit of ADM College, Nagapattinam. On 30.01.2023, First Aid awareness program was conducted for YRC Unit of ADJ Polytechnic College Nagapattinam, Nagapattinam District. Mr. Benjamin, FA/DM Field Co-ordinator of IRCS – TNB was the resource person.
First Aid Training to the staff of Poppies Knitwear – Dharapuram in Tirupur was conducted. Accordingly one batch of Company Staffs were trained in First Aid from 31.01.2023 to 02.02.2023. Per batch, 30 members and Training duration was 6 hours per day for three days.
One Day Training Program was conducted to Junior Red Cross Counsellor of Namakkal District on 07.02.2023,organized by IRCS Namakkal District Branch. JRC Counsellor’s from Private Schools, CBSC Schools from Thiruchengodu, Namakkal District were participated.
Indian Red Cross Society Namakkal District Branch organized Three days SERV Training to Red Cross Volunteers of Namakkal District from 08.02.2023 to 10.02.2023 at Muthayammal Arts and Science College, Rasipuram, Namakkal District.
On 16.02.2023, First Aid awareness Training was conducted to Nehru Yuva Kendra volunteers from Tiruvarur District. 50 volunteers participated for three days programme.
First Aid Training to the staff of Aviagen India Poultry – Udumalaipet in Tirupur was conducted from 21.02.2023 to 23.02.2023 & 27.02.2023 to 01.03.2023. Accordingly two batches of Company Staffs were trained in First Aid. Per batch, 30 members and Training duration was 6 hours per day for three days.
First Aid Training to Drivers and Conductors and other Staff Members was conducted by Indian Red Cross Society, Thanjavur District Branch from 02.03.2023 to 25.03.2023,.
First Aid Training to the staff of Real Knit Fashion – in Tirupur was conducted from 27.03.2023 to 29.03.2023. The Company Staffs were trained in First Aid. Per batch, 15 members and Training duration was 6 hours per day for three days.
On the occasion, Celebration of World First Aid Day held on 09.09.2023 to Navy Wing Cadets of National Aided School, Mannargudi, Tiruvarur District was conducted. 80 Cadets benefited.
